A printable name sign or desk plate: your text raised on a backing plate, in a font you pick, sized in real millimetres. It also handles the part most generators skip, which is how the sign actually attaches to something: keyhole slots, screw holes, a French cleat, or a separate desk wedge.
Mounting is where these go wrong. A keyhole slot needs solid material behind it, and some letterforms simply do not offer any: at default sizes, letters like C, E, F, K, L, T and Z leave nowhere safe to put a pair of slots.
A French cleat is the answer for a heavy sign: an angled groove in the back of the plate and a bar that screws to the wall, so the sign drops on from above and its own weight pulls it flat. Both halves print without supports, and the groove never cuts deep enough to weaken the plate.
Rather than fail silently, the generator works down a ladder: it shrinks the screw, then adds a hidden pad on the back, then drops from a pair of slots to a single one, and it tells you which of those it did. If mounting still cannot be placed, that is a real answer rather than a sign that falls off a wall.

Flush fuse mode makes the letters level with the plate rather than raised. On a single-nozzle printer, insert a filament change at the layer where the letters begin and swap the spool: the result reads as a proper inlay rather than embossed text. Export the 3MF to keep the letters as a separate coloured object.

Some letterforms leave nowhere with material behind them for a slot. The generator already tries a smaller screw, then a hidden back pad, then a single slot instead of a pair, and reports what it used. If none fit, make the sign slightly larger or add a backing plate: those are the two things that create the material a fixing needs.
Usually adhesive on textured or freshly painted paint, not a print problem. Use the keyhole or screw mounting for anything heavier than a small tag, and let new paint cure for a couple of weeks before sticking anything to it.
Script faces have very fine joins. Scale the sign up, choose a heavier font, or increase the letter height so the strokes come out wider than the nozzle can draw cleanly.
Fixed. Files now export lying flat, which is the correct print orientation. If you have an older download, just rotate it flat in the slicer.
