Text Sign Designer, word sign and candle maker

Text sign designer

Turns a word, or a few lines of them, into a solid two-colour sign or word-shaped candle body, ready to print or mold.

Use for

Same shape either way. Sign prints as-is; Candle keeps the size in what a two-part mold needs.

Size

Letter height 60 mm

Sign depth 20 mm

Depth is front to back. Past about 15 mm a sign stands up on its own; below that, add a desk base.

Background

A plate behind the letters. It is also what joins separate words and lines into one piece.

Colour

Download as 3MF and your slicer gets the letters and the background as two parts, one filament each.

Sign #ee5a2c

Hang and stand

Desk base Off

The base is how far the foot sticks out front and back. A thin sign needs one to stay upright.

Edges

Corners 0.50 mm

Front edges 1.5 mm

Rounds sharp corners and edges so a cast material does not chip on demolding.

Advanced settings

Letter spacing 2.0 mm

How much letters merge. Kept above zero so the word stays one piece.

Letter weight 0.0 mm

Thickens each letter. Useful for a thin script font.

Join letters

Auto adds a small bar wherever two letters of a word would not otherwise touch. Off gives loose letters to glue yourself.
