Why it exists
If you make candles, soap, resin, concrete, chocolate or pottery, the hardest part is rarely the pour, it’s getting a good mold. The usual options are buying whatever shape a store happens to stock, or learning CAD software built for engineers, not makers.
Meshcast exists to delete that step. Every tool takes the model or shape you already have and does the fiddly mold geometry for you, the parting lines, the registration keys, the draft, the vents, so you get a clean, printable mold and can get back to actually making things.

Who’s behind it
Meshcast is built and run by one maker, with a lot of help from the community that sends feedback, bug reports and photos of what they’ve cast. It isn’t a venture-backed company or a big team, it’s a focused tool made by someone who wanted it to exist.
I started Meshcast because I kept wanting to cast my own pieces and couldn’t find a simple way to make the mold without wrestling CAD software. So I built the tool I wished I had, and then kept building the next one every time a maker asked “can it also do…”.
