Mold shapeRectangular and Round pour into a rigid box. Contoured hugs the model to save silicone. For multi-part easy release, switch to Contoured shell above.
Advanced settings
Pour spout width
40 mm
The pour opening (orange ring). Keep it modest on small models so the stand-fins still fit.
Stand-fins
4
Lets the mold stand upside down while casting. 0 turns it off.
Shell smoothing
9 mm
The cast detail comes from your master, not the shell. 0 hugs every bump.
Master registrationPin + socket prints the master separately and press-fits it onto the base peg. Merge to base fuses it on, no pin and no gap.
Printer overhang limit
50°
Steepest overhang your printer handles. Shells draft to this so they print standing without supports.
Shell release
Easy release slides off undercuts. Exact hug stays tighter but can lock on non-convex models.
Printed clamps
Leave them out if you clamp with steel binder clips instead. The seats around the rim that stop a clip sliding stay either way.
Base clamp
Rim wrap is one large clamp per shell half instead of several small clips: fewer parts to attach, and it can't tip over.
Master
Fused prints figure and base as one piece. Separate ships the figure with locating pegs, so you can print it in another material.
v2 (beta). Makes the base+positive, the outer shell walls and self-cinching dovetail clamps. Test print a clamp first to check the fit.
New tool. Print the shell, clip it around your model, pour silicone through the spout on top. The casting opening ends up at the model's foot.
