◆ Print only
A flat ball ornament with one name across it, in green, white and red, with a loop for the ribbon.
Want your own version? Make it free in our christmas ornament tool. A free account gives you free downloads every week.
The ornament people make most: a flat Christmas ball with its cap and loop, "Olivia" across the middle in white script, a raised red trim round the edge and little red stars on a green face, 75 by 88 mm with its loop. The file says Olivia; open it in the free tool and type any name instead, one ornament per person at the table.
Made with our free Christmas ornament generator, not modelled by hand: we picked the ball shape, the name "Olivia" in the Retro Script font, the green, white and red colour set and the Little stars pattern. Everything else is the tool's default. The zip holds exactly what the tool exports: a 3MF with every part in its own colour, and the same print as one STL. Like every free download from the tool, it carries a small MESHCAST mark where it does not show.
Print it flat, face up, with no supports, thread a ribbon through the loop and it is on the tree the same evening. Print one for everyone at the table, or open the tool and change the words first.
Shown as a 3D render of the printed ornament, lying flat as it comes off the bed, not a photo.

Print it flat, face up, as exported. No supports.
For two colours on one nozzle, change filament at the height in the README: the letters and the trim start there.
Pull off any stringing round the letters with tweezers.
Thread a ribbon, twine or an ornament hook through the loop at the top.

Yes. Open the free Christmas ornament generator from this page, keep the ball shape and the colours, and type each name in turn; every name is shrunk to fit the ball, so short and long names come out the same size ornament.
About 45 min and 15 g of PLA at 0.2 mm layers, estimated from the files rather than sliced, so a current printer is often faster. It prints flat in one piece with no supports, so it suits a first print on any printer.
It is 75 by 88 mm and 3.4 mm thick. To change that, open the free Christmas ornament generator from this page and move the size slider; the rest of the design follows, and you download the new file in a minute.
