A flat silver snowflake ornament with a navy centre and a name in it.
Want your own version? Make it free in our christmas ornament tool. A free account gives you free downloads every week.
A snowflake for the tree with a name in its centre: six branching arms raised in silver round a navy hexagon, and "Ella" in white script across the middle, with a loop at the top for a ribbon. The file says Ella; open it in the free tool and type any name instead.
Made with our free Christmas ornament generator, not modelled by hand: we picked the snowflake shape, the name "Ella" in the Retro Script font, the navy and silver colour set. Everything else is the tool's default. The zip holds exactly what the tool exports: a 3MF with every part in its own colour, and the same print as one STL. Like every free download from the tool, it carries a small MESHCAST mark where it does not show.
Print it flat, face up, with no supports, thread a ribbon through the loop and it is on the tree the same evening. Print one for everyone at the table, or open the tool and change the words first.
Shown as a 3D render of the printed ornament, lying flat as it comes off the bed, not a photo.

Print it flat, face up, as exported. No supports.
For two colours on one nozzle, change filament at the height in the README: the letters and the trim start there.
Pull off any stringing round the letters with tweezers.
Thread a ribbon, twine or an ornament hook through the loop at the top.

Up to about eight letters read well at the standard 80 mm. The tool shrinks the name to fit the middle of the snowflake, so for a longer name make the ornament bigger with the size slider or pick the bolder Fun & Bold font.
About 20 min and 7 g of PLA at 0.2 mm layers, estimated from the files rather than sliced, so a current printer is often faster. It prints flat in one piece with no supports, so it suits a first print on any printer.
It is 69 by 88 mm and 3.4 mm thick. To change that, open the free Christmas ornament generator from this page and move the size slider; the rest of the design follows, and you download the new file in a minute.
