Every change to the generators that you could actually notice: new tools, new controls, and fixes for things that produced a wrong result. Refactors, admin work and internal plumbing are deliberately left out, so this list stays short enough to scan.
Meshcast is actively developed. If something here is still not working the way you expect, tell me.
The taper widens every letter at its foot, so neighbours used to fuse at the base long before they touched at the top. Each pair is now measured and opened only as far as it needs, so tight-fitting pairs keep their fit. A slider adjusts it either way, the preview shows the letter feet so you can see a merge before the slicer does, and anything that still touches is named with the angle that would clear it.
Stamp →A "What to build" switch at the top of the sidebar: a hand cutter you press one shape at a time, as before, or a rolling cutter that carries your shape around a cylinder so one pass over rolled dough cuts a whole tray. Set the dough thickness, how many shapes fit around and along, and how much of each tile the cookie fills; the sidebar tells you the finished cookie size in millimetres. Same upload, same threshold, smoothing, rotate and mirror for both.
Cookie cutter →An SVG used to be traced like a photo, so clean vector artwork arrived as thousands of tiny steps. It is now read as real outlines: curves stay curves, holes inside a shape stay holes, and the artwork keeps its proportions instead of being stretched to fill the face.
Stamp →The draft angle is now yours to set, anywhere from 0 to 20 degrees, and it runs evenly over curves and around holes in letters. Plates go to 300mm and lettering to 25mm deep. You can add 2 or 4 holes through the plate with your own diameter and spacing. Rebuilds are also far quicker: the heavy settings used to lock the page up for well over a minute.
Stamp →The extra pour holes were placed for you and then stuck there. Now they are yours: click any funnel in the viewport to pick it up and drag it, the same way the first one has always worked. They are still positioned automatically to start with, and re-arranged when you change how many you want.
Candle mold →Sending a shape from one of the designers into the two-part box mold dropped it on its side, so you had to rotate it back before you could do anything. It now arrives in the same orientation you designed it in. The other mold generators were already correct and are unchanged.
The toggles in a tool sidebar were being squashed into a plain circle on narrow screens, so you could not tell on from off at a glance. They are back to a proper switch, and a slightly bigger one than before, which is easier to hit with a thumb.
Sending a design from one of the designers into a mold generator could drop it: the mold page loaded its own example at the same time, and on a normal connection the example arrived last and quietly replaced your model. The vase mold got it wrong every time. The mold page now waits to see whether a design is coming before it loads anything of its own.
On the combined silicone page, a successful generate stopped one step short: the mold was built and the generation was counted, but the Download button never appeared, so there was no way to get the file without reloading and starting over. Both modes now finish the way they should.
Silicone mold maker →The Relief and Backlit view buttons are gone. The preview now always blends the two: the photo stays clearly visible, but dimmer and with the real shading a lit candle would have, instead of either a flat white shape or an overexposed image.
Photo candle designer →The bowl designer built a solid block with a flat top: the right outline with no inside, which is not something you can cast. It is now a tray designer with a real recess, and it does round, oval, rectangular and pill-shaped trays instead of only round ones. Start from one of six shapes (round, oval, rectangular, fluted, ring dish, deep bowl) and set the rim width, floor thickness and wall angle from there. It tells you how deep the recess is and what the pour weighs in concrete, and warns you when the rim is too thin to survive demolding or the walls too straight to release.
Tray designer →The press mention at the bottom of the front page showed All3DP as styled text and printer.tools as a small caption line underneath. Both now show their real logo, side by side, with equal billing. Higher up the page, "Print it and you're done" was a noticeably smaller heading than every other section, sitting over a cramped 5-across row of tiny cards; it now matches "Choose your mold type" and "Don't have an STL?" in heading size, and its cards now match "Don't have an STL?" in count and size too.
The Show ball / Hide ball button floating over the preview is gone. It never affected the file you download, only whether a plain sphere sat behind the cap in the 3D view, and the cap and its cut design are still shown exactly as before.
Golf ball stencil →The cutting edges came out with a fine sawtooth along them; they are smooth now, with a rounded root where each blade meets the roller. Cutter mode also gained the shape controls the hand cutter already had: rotate the shape, mirror it, smooth a traced outline, and an Auto button for the upload threshold. The two cutters now link to each other.
Texture roller →The four pegs that line the halves up were 3 to 5 mm pins standing on the parting face, and they broke: a thin peg is printed as a stack of layers loaded sideways, and its socket sat so close to the outside of the mold that on a 4 mm wall only 0.3 mm of plastic was left there (thinner walls broke straight through). They are now wide, shallow cones set further in. Several times the material at the base, less sticking out, no support needed, and the taper guides the halves together instead of demanding they already line up.
Candle mold →The Pour holes picker cuts 1 to 4 holes instead of always one. You place the first one yourself; the rest go over the high points of your model, which is where air gets trapped when a long or branched shape fills through a single spout. If a hole would not fit without overlapping another, the sidebar says so rather than cutting it.
Candle mold →A second mode that builds a pattern to press into casting sand instead of a rubber stamp. Plates up to 250mm, lettering up to 10mm deep, and a draft angle you set, applied to the letters and the plate sides so the pattern lifts out of the sand cleanly. The lettering is the mirror of a stamp, because the casting copies the pattern rather than reversing it.
Stamp →A new Cookie cutter mode turns the shape you picked into a sharpened blade around each tile, so one pass over rolled dough cuts a whole tray of shapes. Set the dough thickness, the blade thickness and how much of each tile the cookie fills, and the readout tells you the finished cookie size in millimetres. Shapes stay true whatever the roller size: a circle cuts a round cookie.
Texture roller →Candle, vase, bowl, cup, bottle, soap, pendant, wall panel and wave art each open with 3 one-click starting shapes above their own settings, so you can begin from something close to what you want instead of the default and every raw slider at once.
A "How many" picker in the Pour hole section cuts 1 to 4 holes instead of always one. You still place the first one yourself; the extras are put over the high points of your model, which is where air gets trapped when a long or branched shape fills from a single gate. If a hole would not fit without overlapping another, the sidebar says so instead of cutting it.
Ice cube tray mold →The channel was always sunk from the highest point of the model, so moving the gate over a lower part of the shape left it stopping inside solid material: a dimple in the top of the mold with no way through to the cavity. Each hole now sinks below the surface underneath it.
Ice cube tray mold →Candle, vase, bowl, cup, bottle, soap, pendant, wall panel and wave art all download the same way the rest of the site does now: a bar pinned to the bottom of the panel, with the same license/format popup. It used to be a plain button in the middle of the sidebar.
The stamp face was being reversed once too often, so the impression on paper came out mirrored. It now reads the right way round. The preview shows the die itself, so the text looks back to front on screen, the same way a real stamp does.
Stamp →The chat panel's background used to match the page's own background almost exactly, making it hard to see where the popup started. It now has a clearly different background and a visible edge. Separately, on a phone, opening the chat could quietly scroll the page behind it, so closing the chat sometimes landed you further down the page than where you started, past the tool and into the article below it. Fixed.
MESHCAST AI →The tools section now shows 6 cards up front and a Show more button for the rest, matching the mold and design-tools sections above it. Nothing was removed, every tool is still one click away.

The pricing section on the homepage had the same ragged-bottom-edge bug already fixed on /pricing: each card sized itself to its own feature list, so the buttons landed at different heights. They now match the tallest card and the buttons line up, the same way /pricing already does.
"Don't have an STL?" used to hold one tool. It now has nine more: a candle, a vase, a bowl, a cup, a bottle, a soap bar, a pendant, a wall panel and a wave-art panel, each shaped from a handful of settings and sent straight into the matching mold generator with one click. No modelling, nothing to install.
Every tier card, the plan comparison table and the FAQ translate for visitors who have picked a language, without changing the page URL.
Pricing →A die-and-piston compression mold sized for melted print waste rather than clay or soap: a deeper charge chamber and a calculator that tells you whether your shred fits in one press or needs a top-up round. Free, no card.
Recycled plastic mold →Silicone is the expensive part of this hobby and a box mold fills the whole volume around your model, corners included. Load a model and the sidebar now shows what this box will take against what a hugging shell would, in millilitres and grams, so you can decide on the number rather than on a guess. It only appears when the saving is worth your attention, and one button takes you and your model straight to the other generator with the size and orientation intact. Both figures are estimates made before anything is built, and the shell one is deliberately cautious, so the saving shown is the least you would expect.
Silicone box mold →We advertise Meshcast on Google, and we now use their tag to see which ads actually lead somewhere. It asks first: until you press Accept it writes nothing to your device, and choosing "Only necessary" changes nothing about how any tool works. The privacy policy describes exactly what the cookie is and how to withdraw, in English and German.
Alongside rounded rectangle and oval, a new Adaptive shape hugs your uploaded picture instead of a fixed footprint. It is smoothed automatically so the tray always prints cleanly, and it will not accept a shape too thin or fragmented to hold together, falling back to a rounded rectangle rather than a broken dish.
Soap dish generator →Upload a picture, logo or drawing and Meshcast cuts it into the drainage pattern of a two-part soap dish: a tray plus a perforated insert that holds the bar above the water. Download a print-ready STL or 3MF.
Soap dish generator →These three used to hold one connection open from your browser to the generator for the whole build, so a detailed master on an office network, a security gateway or a phone signal that dipped could lose the generation outright, with no error worth reading. The generator now takes the job and the page checks back on it, so nothing has to stay connected, and the progress you see is where the build has actually got to rather than a guess from a clock. Every mold tool that builds on the server now works this way.
Candle mold →A detailed master can take minutes to build, and the whole time the browser was holding one connection open waiting for it. Plenty of office networks, security gateways and mobile carriers cut a connection that has been quiet for about two minutes, so the generation died with no error worth reading, on models that were building fine. The server now takes the job and the page checks back every couple of seconds, so nothing has to stay connected. It also tells you when you are waiting for a free slot rather than leaving you guessing. The same applies to the vase mold and adaptive silicone tools.
Silicone box mold →The front page's community photo strip leaned on the simple print tools (planters, dart stands, name signs) because those had the most submitted photos, with none from silicone mold, vase mold or plaster mold at all. It now shows real casts and formwork from those tools too, and none of the twelve repeat a photo already used in the header above.
"Don't have an STL?" and "Print it and you're done" could both grow past a screenful; they now show 9 each and reveal the rest with one click instead of a long scroll.
A personalised dart stand with your name or initials embossed in the base. It had quietly dropped off the tool list; it is back under "Print it and you're done".
Dart wall holder →The Free tier card used to stay on /pricing and the homepage's pricing section even after you had an account, whichever plan you were actually on. Once you're signed in it's gone, and the remaining cards recentre to fill the row. Starter's download line also drops the aside comparing it to the free allowance.
The four plan cards on /pricing and the homepage used to stack vertically on a phone, so seeing Founder meant scrolling past three full cards first. They now sit side by side and you swipe, with the next card peeking in at the edge.
The hero and the section under it were both plain white, so the page read as one flat block from the top down to the dark callout. The hero now sits on its own background.
Starter →The Free, Starter, Pro and Founder cards on /pricing used to size themselves to their own feature list, so the row had a ragged bottom edge. They now match the tallest card and the buttons line up.
Asking the assistant about a setting lower down in the sidebar could scroll the whole page instead of just the sidebar, landing you partway through the written guide below the tool with nothing explaining why. Pointing at a setting now only scrolls the sidebar itself.
The hero image now cycles through ten real prints and casts instead of six, adding a planter, a plaster sphere, a name sign and a dart stand pulled from the community gallery.
Setting the gap to 3 mm quietly produced a 4 mm one instead, with nothing on the page to say so. It now builds what you asked for. The silicone and casting volumes are also measured from the mold that was actually generated rather than estimated in the browser, so the readout no longer says "est.".
Adaptive silicone →This tool used to build the mold in one long step on the same page. It now does one job, turn your photo into a candle, and a single click, "Use in a mold generator", hands it straight to the two-part box mold tool: no download and re-upload. You will find it under "Don't have an STL?" now instead of listed as a mold, since what it makes first is the master, not the mold. Downloading the master to print-test the relief still works exactly as before.
Photo candle →The front page and the All tools menu used to show molds first and then everything else in one pile called "Other tools". They are now split by what the download actually is: a mold you cast into, something you design first and then mold, or a finished thing you print and use.
The community gallery was a page you had to know about and go to. The same photos now show up where you are already deciding whether a tool does what you want: in the How it works popup on every generator, and at the foot of the guide that explains it. They are real prints and casts sent in by the people who made them, credited to them, and clicking one opens the gallery already filtered to that kind of piece.
The last three designers. Cups and mugs take an optional handle; bottles get a shoulder and a plain neck sized for a cork; wave art builds a slat panel whose bars follow a wave you set. Each one tells you the thing you would otherwise only find out after printing a mold: a handle encloses a hole no two-part mold can form, and a cast screw thread cannot leave a mold at all, which is why the bottle neck is smooth.
The Pro card on the front page had a line mentioning the yearly price; it now has the same Monthly/Yearly switch the pricing page uses, so you can see what each one costs before going anywhere. Whichever you pick is carried through to the next page and to checkout, and that page now sells the yearly plan too, with a link to swap to the other one if you change your mind.
Three more designers for the flat-shaped things: soap bars, pendants and small cast parts, and repeatable wall tiles. Pick a plan shape, set the size, soften the corners and edges, and set how much the sides slope. That last one matters more than it sounds: a bar with vertical sides grips the mold and a rigid mold will not let go at all, so the tool warns you and tells you what to use instead. Each shows the weight of the pour as you work, in soap, resin or concrete.
Two more designers alongside the candle one. The vase designer shapes a vase from a silhouette, flutes and facets, and hands it to the vase mold tool; the bowl designer does bowls, dishes and trinket trays and hands them to the plaster and concrete tool. Both show the weight of the pour as you change the shape, so you can size a batch before printing anything, and both warn you when a twist is tight enough that the mold would not open.
Three people asked how to turn a cutter round and the honest answer was that you could not: you had to rotate the picture somewhere else and upload it again. There is now a Rotate slider and a Mirror tick box next to the traced outline. Both work on the trace rather than the picture, so the preview updates instantly, and the size you set is still the size you get, even at 45 degrees.
Cookie cutter →Invert was the only thing on the page that changed the picture, and it swaps light for dark, not left for right. Mirror does the flip, which is what you need for text in a photo or for a panel that will be read from the other side.
Lithophane →Every mold tool here starts from a model you already have. This one starts from nothing: pick a shape, set the height and diameters, add flutes, facets or ribs, and you have a candle to cast. It tells you how much wax the shape will take as you change it, and warns you when a twist is tight enough that the mold would not open. One button sends it straight to the two-part box mold with nothing to download or upload in between.
Candle designer →Free gives you 5 downloads a week and Pro is unlimited, with nothing in between, and plenty of people only wanted a few more. Starter is $9 a month for 10 a week, with every tool and every mold type included. It is a bigger allowance, not a different licence: exports keep the small Meshcast mark and stay personal use, so if you are selling what you make, Pro is still the one you want. Priced locally in all nine currencies.
Pro now has a yearly option alongside the monthly one: $179 for the year, which works out at $14.92 a month, or three months free against paying monthly. Same plan, same everything, just billed once instead of twelve times. Monthly is still there and still the default, and Founder is unchanged: one payment, for life. The yearly price is set locally in all nine currencies the site already prices in.
Building a vase mold used to happen inside one long request that stayed open the whole time, sending nothing, and a lot of company networks, security gateways and mobile connections quietly close a request that has been silent for a couple of minutes. Your browser now hands the job over, gets a ticket back straight away and checks on it, so there is no long silent connection left to close and a brief network hiccup no longer throws away a finished mold.
Vase mold →Some shapes cannot come out of a two-part mold: an overhang or a groove grips the cast and the halves will not slide off. Generate now offers to fill those spots, adding material underneath them so the mold releases. It is opt-in, it shows you in blue exactly where the material went and how many millilitres it added, and there is an Undo. Your original model is untouched everywhere else.
Ice cube tray mold →STL and OBJ files carry no units, so a model exported in microns or metres arrived as the wrong size and the generator either refused it after you had already spent a generation, or quietly built a mold of something a millimetre across. Both tools now measure the file the same way the generator does, show you the size it will really be built at, and offer a one-click resize before you generate.
Silicone mold →Everything up to the download stays open: pick a tool, upload your model, change the settings and turn it around in 3D without signing in. Getting the files now needs a free account, which takes a moment and never asks for a card. If you already have one, nothing changes, and your five downloads a week are exactly as they were.
Before your model loads, the viewer explains that you can drop a file anywhere on the page. That text was dark grey on the dark build plate and close to invisible, which made a working page look like a broken one. It is white now.
The tools draw a default design the moment they open, and that counted as a generation, so "How is this tool working for you?" could appear over a model you had not made yet. It now waits until you have actually used the tool.
The original mold tool has been replaced by the newer generators for a while, and it was failing on most uploads because it never got the automatic mesh repair the newer tools have. If you had it bookmarked or arrived from a search result, you now land on the two-part box mold instead, which does the same job and fixes a model that is not watertight before it starts.
Two-part box mold →Small text, buttons and links across the site were too close in tone to what sits behind them to meet the accessibility standard, so they have been deepened a shade. The sliders and dropdowns in every tool sidebar now announce their own names, which they did not before, so a screen reader can tell you what it has landed on instead of just saying "slider".
The shrink slider decides how much bigger the master is printed so the finished cast comes out the size you asked for, and until now it was a bare percentage with nothing to say what belonged in it. There are now one-tap presets for wax, resin, chocolate and ceramic on the silicone tools, and for earthenware, stoneware and porcelain on the plaster tool, each with a note on what the number is typical of and what changes it. Set your own number any time.
When the connection broke while a finished mold was being sent back, the card showed whatever your browser calls that internally, which for Firefox users was a sentence about Content-Length headers. It now says the file did not finish arriving and that generating again usually gets it through, in all five languages.
Meshcast can now be added to your home screen like an app, with no store and no download. It opens full screen, and any tool you have already used keeps working with no signal, which is the situation you are usually in standing next to a printer. Generating a mold on our server still needs a connection.
On the heavier tool pages the header could sit there offering you a Log in button for a second or two after you had already signed in, because it waited for your session to be confirmed before it drew anything. It now shows your account from the moment the page appears.
The help assistant checks that it can actually answer before it puts its button on screen. One dropped request during that check used to hide it for the rest of your visit, which was most likely on exactly the pages that load the most, so it was often missing on a generator page while appearing fine elsewhere. It now retries instead of giving up, and it no longer appears at all until it knows it can help.
Clicking Generate twice before the first click had finished counted both against your quota, and could throw an error over a generation that was actually running. The second click is now ignored.
On a narrow screen the silicone figure was hidden to keep it off the small preview, which left phones with no way to see it at all. It now moves down into the settings panel instead of disappearing, in grams as well as millilitres, since that is how silicone is actually weighed out.
The undercut warning used to tell you the shape might not release and leave you to work out which part it meant. The faces that snag are now painted red on the model itself, so you can see whether turning it upright fixes them. Tap the warning again at any point to bring the red back.
Silicone mold →A mold needs a gap-free model, and until now a model with an open bottom or an unclosed mouth was rebuilt from scratch to make one, which quietly softened fine detail on scans and sculpts. Openings are now closed exactly instead: the surface you uploaded is left alone and only the holes are covered over. The tool also tells you how many openings it found and how big the largest one was, so you know what your file was missing. The old rebuild is still there for models that are broken in some other way.
Two new pages, free and with no account. The silicone calculator tells you how much silicone a block mold needs, as volume, weight and cost, and gives you the inner dimensions of the box to print around your object. Enter the size, or measure it by water displacement for an exact answer. The casting cost calculator works out what one finished piece really costs: the material, plus the mold spread over the number of casts it survives, which is the line most people leave out and is often the biggest one. It also tells you how many you must sell before the mold has paid for itself.
Three numbers on the site were wrong. Founder was still advertised as paying for itself in about 15 months, which was true at the old price and is about 18 at the current one, so it now reads off the live price in your own currency instead of being typed in by hand. The pages promised "no signup" while free use without an account is capped at a lifetime handful of downloads: they now say "no card", which is true, and the homepage says outright that your first downloads need no account. The Terms of Service gave the free allowance as a vague range in English and as a per-day figure in German, when it is 5 downloads per 7 days for a free account and at least 3 lifetime downloads without one; both now say so exactly. The licence comparison table also spells its answers out in words rather than ticks, so it reads correctly to a screen reader.
The third mold shape was called "Adaptive", which is also the name of a different generator, so the same word meant two things on one screen. It is now called "Contoured". Nothing about the shape itself changed.
Silicone mold →A Meshcast link can now carry a question, so tapping one in an email or a message opens that tool with MESHCAST AI already answering it. You land on the right generator and the answer is on its way, instead of arriving on a page and having to explain yourself from scratch.
Delete my account already removed your profile, generation history and preview images, but it left your MESHCAST AI conversations and the email address attached to them behind. They are now deleted with everything else. The privacy policy has also been updated to spell out the help chat, where our generation server runs, and the two random identifiers we keep in your browser to count visits.
If you picked a file the tool could not read, the error appeared but the panel above it still showed the name, size and triangle count of your previous model, and Generate stayed available. It was possible to generate, and spend a download, on a model you thought you had replaced. The panel now says which model is actually loaded and that the new file was not opened.
Every page starts with the same header, so anyone using a keyboard or a screen reader had to tab past all of it on every navigation. Pressing Tab on a fresh page now offers "Skip to content" first, which jumps focus into the page itself.
On the silicone, vase and adaptive silicone tools, the round help-chat avatar sat directly on top of the "how much silicone you need" readout in the corner of the preview, which is the number you buy your materials against. The readout now moves up out of its way.
Silicone molds →It could only see a few of them before, so on most tools it described where the buttons were from memory and sometimes got it wrong. It now reads them off the page you are looking at, knows whether Generate is greyed out because nothing is uploaded yet or Download has not appeared because nothing has been generated, and can highlight the real button on your screen.
The two buttons that split the mold into 2 or 4 pieces now say what they are for, instead of sitting under the orientation sliders with no heading. The "Hold the halves shut with" setting in Advanced is gone: every mold now gets the rubber band grooves, which is what nearly everyone was using anyway.
Two-part box mold →The help chat used to answer a question like "it leaks at the seam" with one confident fix, without knowing what you were casting or what was holding the mold shut, which are the two things that change the answer. It now gives you its best guess and asks the one or two things it needs, as buttons you can tap. It also no longer writes em dashes.
Ask the help chat why something looks wrong and it now takes a look instead of asking you to show it. There used to be two buttons for this, one to attach a screenshot and one to send your preview, and both of them were really asking your permission to do something the chat could just do. Both are gone. When a question is about the shape of what you are making, it captures what is on your screen and answers from that, and you will see a line telling you it took a look. It only does this for questions where seeing actually helps, and at most twice in a conversation. You can still paste or drag an image into the chat for anything the page cannot show it, like a photo of the printed part.
Every generator has a line offering to emboss your own logo on your files instead of the Meshcast one. It used to send you to the pricing page, which never actually shows you the feature or says where it lives. It now takes you to your account, to the real watermark card, greyed out and marked Pro, so you can see exactly what you would be getting and where you would set it. The line in the sidebar also says Pro up front now, instead of only revealing that after the click.
Some people could never finish a detailed adaptive silicone mold: the tool ran for roughly two minutes and then said it could not reach the generator, every single time, no matter how much the model was simplified first. The generator was fine and the mold was often nearly finished. The problem was that building a mold used to happen inside one long request that stayed open the whole time, sending nothing, and a lot of company networks, security gateways and mobile connections quietly close a request that has been silent for two minutes. Your browser now hands the job over, gets a ticket back straight away, and checks on it every couple of seconds, so there is no long silent connection left to close. A brief network hiccup no longer ends the mold either, since the next check picks it back up. The waiting message also shows what the generator is really doing now, including when it is queued behind someone else, and if something does go wrong you get the actual reason instead of a generic connection message.
Adaptive silicone mold →Plenty of makers hold the shell together with steel binder clips, which do not creep over the hours a silicone cure takes. Until now the printed clamps came along anyway, and one maker reported theirs working loose mid-pour. A new Printed clamps setting under Advanced lets you leave them out, which saves their print time and filament, around 25 to 30 cm³ on the models we measured. Nothing else about the mold changes: the halves keep their alignment tabs, locating pegs and seal groove, the mating faces stay exactly as flat as before, and the small seats around the rim that stop a clip sliding are still there. They are included by default, so leave the setting alone and you get what you always did.
Adaptive silicone mold →A new mounting option cuts an angled groove into the back of the sign and gives you a second printed part, a bar that screws to the wall with countersunk holes. Drop the sign onto it from above and it pulls itself flat against the wall, with nothing visible from the front and no screw heads to line up. You can set the angle, how wide the bar is, how deep the groove goes and how many wall screws it takes. Both pieces print flat with no supports, and the groove is never allowed to cut so deep that it weakens the sign.
Name sign →The sign still finds a spot for its slots by itself. Now you can also tick "Position them myself" and give the two numbers you would read off a drawing: how far down from the top edge, and how far apart, both measured to the middle of the slot. It starts from wherever the automatic placement just put them, so nothing jumps when you switch. If a position would run off the shape it says so instead of cutting a notch out of the side.
Name sign →A fourth print option, "In place", gives you the plate and the lettering as separate files that already sit in the right place relative to each other. Import them all, assign a colour to each and print: nothing to move, rotate or line up by hand. Different from "Two parts", which lays the pieces out side by side for a single-nozzle print. Comes as separate STLs with names like plate and letters, or as one 3MF holding both as separate objects.
Name sign →The sign chose where to put its wall slots by looking only at the outline, so on a thinner plate it could put them directly behind the script name. Printed as "Flush fuse", where the name is engraved into the front, the slot and the engraving met in the middle and left a hole straight through the sign. Slots now keep clear of the lettering wherever the shape allows, and where it does not the sign says so, names the plate thickness that would fix it, and points out that the other print modes are unaffected.
Name sign →MESHCAST AI's round avatar was pinned to the bottom right corner, which on a phone is exactly where the download bar is. It covered the right end of the button and, sitting on top, it took those taps: press that part of "Download mold" and a chat window opened instead. The avatar now rests just above the bar and moves with it, so the whole button is yours again. Every tool page had this. Nothing changes on a desktop or tablet, where the two were never in the same place.
The other generators started drawing the preview at your screen’s full resolution whenever the model is sitting still, and the two-part mold tools now do the same. They were the ones that needed it most: they watch the frame rate while you spin the model and, if it struggles even briefly, they used to lower the preview quality for the rest of the visit, so one spin on a phone left everything soft afterwards. Now the drop only lasts as long as your finger is on the model, and it sharpens again the moment you let go. Your downloaded files were never affected.
The messages you get when something goes wrong, that a model has holes, that we are rebuilding it into a solid, that a file was too heavy to reduce, that the generator could not be reached, were English for everyone except Spanish speakers, and even then only if the browser itself was set to Spanish rather than the language you picked on the site. All of them now follow the language you chose, in German, French, Portuguese and Spanish, including the buttons that get you out of the problem.
Some networks and providers block our generation server, which runs on a different machine from the site. When that happened the tools said "check your connection", which made no sense to anyone whose connection had just loaded the page, and left them clicking Generate with nothing else to try. The message now explains that the generator is a separate server that some networks block, and points to the ice and chocolate tray tool, which builds a two-part mold entirely in your browser with no server involved.
The sign-up page was English only, on a site where a good share of the people asking for help write in German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Russian or Polish. The whole card is now translated into the four languages the site already ships: the heading, both tabs, the fields, the buttons, and the "check your email" screen that follows. Pick a language from the footer, or arrive from one of the translated home pages, and it stays with you.
Creating an account used to confirm itself with one small line of text under the buttons, which was easy to miss entirely: one person pressed Create account four times because nothing looked like it had happened. The form is now replaced by a large "Account created, confirm your email" panel showing the exact address it went to, so there is no button left to press again and no doubt about whether it worked. The same panel appears whenever we email you a sign-in link.
The plus button next to the message box opens the things people kept asking for by hand: talk to a human, show the assistant your 3D preview, attach a screenshot, or ask about the two problems that came up most. MESHCAST AI also knows more than it did. It can now explain where the Generate and Download buttons are and what to do when a generation will not finish, and it no longer tells you the site has no password to reset, which it has had since Saturday.
The sidebar was one header-bar taller than the window, so the orange Generate button at the bottom of it was painted just past the bottom edge and you could not see it. Scrolling did not help: the sidebar scrolls on its own and refuses to pass the scroll on to the page. Affected the candle, press, silicone and packaging mold tools plus the planter, cutter, keychain, nameplate, embosser, lithophane, texture roller, golf ball stencil and SVG-to-STL tools, on every screen size. The tool area now ends exactly where the window does.
The small mark on the underside of the base plate stuck out below it, so the plate never actually touched the bed: it started on a layer of thin separate letters and sat a fraction of a millimetre proud of everything else. The mark is now cut into that face instead, leaving a shallow recess, so the plate prints flat from the first layer. It reads exactly the same when you turn the plate over.
Adaptive silicone →Silicone thickness stopped at 6 mm, which is more silicone than a small or shallow model needs. The slider now starts at 3 mm. Thin layers save a real amount of material, though a jacket that thin is easier to tear when you demold something detailed, so go back up if a master has deep undercuts.
Adaptive silicone →Two ways it used to fail without saying anything. Browse to C:\Windows\Fonts in the file dialog and it looks completely empty, however many fonts you have installed, because Windows serves that folder as a special view rather than a real one and no browser can read it. There is a note under the upload box on Windows now that says so, and tells you to copy the font you want onto your Desktop or into Downloads and upload it from there. Separately, a font we cannot use, a WOFF2 or one of the .ttc collections most Windows system fonts come as, now comes back with a message naming the problem and the file to fetch instead, where before it was simply greyed out in the dialog with no explanation at all. You can also drop a font anywhere on the account page, not just on the dashed box.
The preview used to draw about one screen pixel in every four on a phone, which left thin details like stencil letters and engraved text looking soft and out of focus. It now renders at full sharpness whenever you are not touching it, and drops back only while you are actually dragging the model around, where the detail is not visible anyway. Nothing got slower to spin. Applies to every generator except the older two-part mold and ice tray pages.
Your account page has a Password card now, under Billing next to "Your data": type the password you use today and the one you want instead, and it changes on the spot. If you only ever signed in with a magic link and so have no password to type, the same card emails you a link that lets you set one. Until now the only way to change a password was to sign out and use the "Forgot your password?" link, as if you were locked out.
Download the parts as a zip from any of the mold tools and there is a PRINT-SETTINGS.txt in it. It lists every part with its size, the settings you used so you can dial the same mold in again weeks later, and the slicer settings the parts actually need. That last part is not generic advice: a mold you clamp shut wants thick walls and a gyroid or cubic infill, because those hold up whichever way the clamp squeezes, while a silicone formwork shell wants watertight seams and barely any infill at all. The sheet says which one you are holding.
If a generated part is bigger than the bed of the printer you picked, the download popup now says which part, how big it is, and by how much it misses, with a pointer to the print splitter. Set your printer from the bar under the 3D view and every mold tool uses it. Until you do, it assumes a common 256 mm bed and says so rather than pretending to know.
Drag a laptop window in past about three quarters of the screen and the settings panel stretched across the whole width, leaving no room at all for the model. It looked like the preview had failed to load. The panel now keeps its normal width until the window is narrow enough to stack it under the preview, the way it already did on a phone. Affected every generator between roughly 720 and 770 pixels wide.
The example tray that the ice and chocolate tray generator shows when you arrive had stopped drawing, because the model file behind it was corrupt. It has been rebuilt, so you once again see a tray with its nine cavities, and the nine cast pieces lifting out of it, before you upload anything.
Ice & chocolate tray →Design tools often leave an invisible leftover in an exported SVG: a stray anchor point at the document origin, a hairline guide, the remains of a template layer. They draw nothing, but they used to count towards the artwork's measured size, so your design got scaled down and pushed to one side by however far away the leftover sat. They are ignored now. Affects the SVG upload on the nameplate, keychain and SVG to STL tools.
The initials box takes two lines of up to six characters now, with the count shown as you type, so a name fits where only a monogram did before. Alignment lines gained two small boxes of their own: put an A to the left of the line and a B to the right and it all comes off one cap, sized to sit clear of whichever pattern you picked and shrinking by itself when the pattern is wide. The grip tabs are rounder too, closer to the shape of the caps this is modelled on.
Golf ball stencil →The golf ball stencil has a Template mode that cuts the souvenir-ball mark: the letter I, a symbol you pick from the ten built-in ones, and your own word underneath. Type NY for the classic, or your club, your dog or your kid. Letters with a closed middle like O and B are tied on with short bridges beside them now, instead of a bar running up through the symbol above, so the heart comes out whole.
Golf ball stencil →Ask why something looks wrong and the actual slider lights up and scrolls into view while it explains, so you are not hunting the sidebar for the control it just named. When it recommends a specific value it can offer a button that sets it for you, and nothing changes unless you press it. There is also a one-tap "show me your preview" button, so you can let it look at your model without taking a screenshot. And it reads the live ranges off the page now, so the numbers it quotes are always the ones your sliders really have.
Click the avatar in the bottom right and ask anything about the tool you are on: how it works, what to change, print settings, why a download is not going through. It reads your current settings, so the answer is about your model rather than the defaults. You can attach a screenshot, tap a suggested reply instead of typing, and ask for a real person at any point. If it cannot solve that, it passes the whole conversation to a human and you get an email.
How much silicone to leave around the master, how big the base needs to be for a tall model, and when a hugging shell is worth the extra clamping over a plain box.
Reusable silicone mold →Rate a tool three stars or under and MESHCAST AI opens and asks what actually went wrong. If there is a fix, you get it straight away. If there is not, it collects the details and hands it to a real person who emails you back.
Point at a mold card on the home page and it plays a short animation of that mold opening around the model it casts, so you can see what a tool makes before you click into it. The press molds show the piston pressing down into the die, which is how you actually use them. The original photos and renders are still there, one arrow away. The page also asks for about a third less image data than it used to: the other pictures on a card now load only when you go looking for them, and an animation is only fetched for a card you actually point at.
The opening used to be widened near the top to help a marker find its way in, which left a visible lip part-way down every letter. At normal design sizes the strokes are already wide enough for a pen, so that is now off and the cut-outs come out crisp. If you are marking something with very thin strokes, Pen funnel under Aperture brings it back.
Golf ball stencil →It now has the "How it works" summary every other tool has, which was missing. Initials, symbols and an uploaded logo are a switch rather than three stacked blocks, so only the one you are using is on screen. The golf ball in the preview starts hidden, since it was filling the design you were trying to look at.
Golf ball stencil →Yesterday’s smoothing fix left the outline built from too few points, so a curve was still a chain of short straight segments once you looked closely. Outlines now carry roughly three times the detail, and the rounding applied around corners and along the blade was retuned to match, so nothing later in the chain coarsens it again. Sharp corners and points are still sharp.
Cookie cutter →Three additions. Switch to Alignment lines for a straight line, triple track, T, cross or arrow to aim a putt along, the pattern every marking kit sells. Ten one-click symbols (heart, star, clover, spade, diamond, bolt, crown, paw, pin flag, smiley) if you do not have a logo to upload. And a new Skirt setting takes the cap past the ball's equator so it clips on and stays there, instead of needing a hand to hold it; the sidebar tells you in millimetres how tight the grip actually is.
Golf ball stencil →Signed in on the keychain generator? A chat bubble in the bottom corner answers questions about the tool, printing and downloads. Starting on one tool; more will follow if it proves useful.
Keychain →It sees the settings you are actually using, so it answers with the specific control to change instead of general advice. If it cannot solve something, it opens a ticket for you and a human replies to your account email.
Keychain →Press Enter in the text field and the tag gets a second line, centred under the first. The plate grows to fit it, and Letter outline mode wraps both lines as one shape as long as the border is wide enough to join them up.
Keychain →Add a TTF, OTF or WOFF file on your account page and it appears under "Your fonts" in the font list of every tool that has one: name signs, keychains, stamps, embossers, charms, candle molds, golf ball stencils, darts and guitar picks. Every one of those font lists now ends with "Add more fonts", which takes you straight to the upload box, so you can add one without leaving what you were making. Your fonts are private to your account, never shown to anyone else, and you can remove them at any time.
Keyhole slots and screw holes used to give up whenever a letter had no stroke wide enough to hold them, which ruled out two slots on C, E, F, K, L, T and Z even at the default size, and almost everything at smaller sizes. The generator now fits the largest screw the shape can take, adds a hidden pad on the back when there is genuinely no room, and falls back to a single well-placed slot rather than to nothing. It tells you which of those it did.
Nameplate →The panel now asks the four questions that matter (what it says, in which font, how big, how it hangs) and keeps the thicknesses, spacing, rotation, boldness and the settings-file buttons in one "Advanced settings" section.
Nameplate →A new generator that makes a cap sitting on the top half of a golf ball with your design cut clean through it. Type up to four initials or upload a logo, see it on a ball in 3D, and print it rim-down with no supports. Closed shapes like O and A keep their middles: the generator ties them back on the way stencil lettering does, instead of leaving a loose chip that drops out on the print bed.
Golf ball stencil →Headings, spacing, sliders, value readouts and the option buttons are drawn from one definition instead of a slightly different copy per tool, so moving between generators no longer feels like moving between apps. The small print under each control moved to an information icon beside its heading, which opens on hover or tap, leaving warnings on the page where you can see them.
The keychain now takes an SVG instead of the built-in fonts, the same way the name sign does. Set the text in whatever font you already have, convert it to curves and export. It sizes, drags and embosses exactly like typed text, and Letter outline mode follows your own shape.
Keychain →It measured the space around your model as a box, which is a fair guess for a crate and a poor one for a shell that hugs the shape. On a rubber duck it asked for 1029 ml of silicone where the mold actually takes 359. The figure now follows the real surface of your model, and once the mold is generated it is the measured amount rather than an estimate.
Adaptive silicone →The readout on an adaptive silicone mold now shows two numbers: the silicone you need to pour the mold once, and what one cast pulled from it will take. Pick your casting material and it gives you the weight, so you can work out what a batch costs before mixing anything.
Adaptive silicone →A faceted model, so anything with flat panels or crisp corners, was shaded as though it were rounded, which made it hard to read its shape before generating. Edges that are genuinely sharp now shade as sharp and are outlined, while scanned and organic models stay smooth as before.
Silicone mold →The small print under each control is gone. Where an explanation was genuinely useful it moved to an information icon next to the heading, which opens on hover or tap, and the rest was simply removed because the label already said it. The watermark note at the bottom no longer breaks onto two lines.
Silicone mold →A round mold was sized from half the model's bounding box, which is the circle that fits inside it rather than the one that goes around it. Anything reaching towards a corner, so a rounded-square bowl, a handle or a spout, ended up outside the wall. On the model that reported it, nearly a third of the mesh sat outside and part of it stuck out even after the padding. Round models are unaffected and use no extra silicone than before.
Silicone mold →The dovetail rails stopped 1.5 mm below the top of the wall, leaving a small step and clamps that were short by the same amount. Both now finish flush with the wall, so the clamps are a touch taller and grip over their whole length.
Silicone mold →The master prints as one solid piece with the base, no pin and no gap. Most masters ended up merged anyway, because a registration pin cannot seat on a hollow, thin-bottomed or very flat model, so the sidebar now shows what you will actually get. Pin + socket is still one click away and remains the better pick for a solid, flat-bottomed master.
Silicone mold →Height above model is now its own slider in the sidebar. It used to be buried in the per-side settings under the label Top, so a mold with walls taller than the part needed had nothing obvious to turn down. Lowering it makes a shorter print and uses less silicone, which is worth doing on flat, wide models.
Silicone mold →Set the text in whatever font library you already have, convert it to curves, export an SVG and drop it on the Background or Foreground zone. The real curves come through, so letters stay sharp at any print size instead of picking up the pixel edges a photo upload gives you. PNG and JPG still work for silhouettes.
Name sign →Save settings writes a small readable file next to your model. Load it back another day and every font, size and position returns, ready for different text. Your last design is also kept in your browser and comes back on the next visit, with a Start fresh link if you would rather begin from the defaults.
Name sign →A new Mounting choice adds one or two keyhole slots cut into the back, so the sign hooks over a screw and still sits flat against the wall. There are also plain screw holes with a countersink, and a separate printed wedge that the sign slots into for a desk or a shelf.
Name sign →Traced outlines used to keep the pixel stair-steps of the source image, so round shapes built with a visible wobble in the preview and the print. The tracer now smooths that pixel noise out of every contour before the blade is built, and follows the true curve more closely while doing it. Sharp corners stay sharp.
Cookie cutter →The starting page, the menus, the tool switcher and every mold type are translated, and you can change language from the menu on any page. Each generator’s own settings (thickness, clearance, parting line) are still in English for now, which the translated pages say up front rather than letting you find out after clicking.
A running list of what changes, so you can see whether the thing you reported has been fixed without having to ask.
The mold generators that build on our server can take a minute or two on a heavy model. Until now the only ways out were to wait or reload the page, and reloading lost the model you had just uploaded. There is now a Cancel button on the progress bar, so a run you have already decided is wrong (wrong scale, wrong up axis, wrong mold type) can be stopped and restarted straight away.
On some models the printed clamps were generated facing the wrong way, so they fouled the shell they were meant to hold.
Adaptive silicone mold →The preview used to draw the part sitting inside a case that was shown folded shut, which made it look like the model would not fit.
Packaging insert →They were taking up room at the top of the sidebar on every tool, above settings that change the actual geometry.
Typing a custom bed size fought with the preset list and reverted. It now takes the numbers and remembers them across tools.
Reloading, or coming back later, used to mean finding and dropping the file again. There is also a Reset rotation button now, for when the orientation controls have got away from you.
A traced drawing with thin strokes could break into one cutter per fragment. The tracer now picks its resolution from the drawing instead of using a fixed size.
Cookie cutter →Uploading a 3MF saved out of a slicer could pull in modifier and support-blocker volumes, which then got molded along with the actual model.
The upload check was stricter than the generator, so shapes it could handle perfectly well were being turned away before they got there.
Vase & planter mold →On a hollow model the mark could land where there was no material under it, so it either vanished or printed as a floating shell.
The size slider was buried in the download step, which is the one moment you cannot see the model to judge it against.
