"Grandma" in a flowing retro script, cut out around the word with white letters raised on a teal outline. A big, clear word that is easy to spot among a handful of keys. Good for Grandparents' Day, Mother's Day, her birthday, or a new grandma.

Made with our free keychain generator, not modelled by hand: we typed "Grandma", chose the Letter outline shape and the Retro Script font, set the text size to 12 mm and the border to 3.5 mm, and picked the two colours. The zip holds exactly what the tool downloads: a 3MF with the tag and the raised letters as two coloured parts, and a one-piece STL. It comes out 61 by 19 mm and 4 mm thick, and prints flat with no supports.

Let the grandchildren pick the colours: any two filaments work, and the keychain tool previews them before you print. Printed in one colour it still reads, because the letters stand proud of the tag; for teal and white, a single-nozzle printer needs one filament change, and the print sheet in the zip says where.

  • A split ring or keyring, about 25 mm across

How to make it

  1. Print it flat as exported: no supports, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers.

  2. Multi-colour printer: open the 3MF, each part already carries its colour. Single nozzle: add a filament change in the slicer's layer preview for white at 3.3 mm above the bed.

  3. Let the bed cool before you lift the tag off, so the thin edges stay flat.

  4. Open the split ring with a thumbnail or a small screwdriver and wind it through the hole.

Questions about this design

Can I write Nana or Oma on the Grandma keychain instead?

Yes. Open the free keychain tool, choose the Letter outline shape and the Retro Script font, and type Nana, Oma, Granny or whatever the family calls her. A shorter word makes a smaller tag, so raise the text size if you want it the same length.

Is the Grandma keychain easy to read with poor eyesight?

It is one of the easier ones: a single word, big letters, and white on a dark colour, which is the high-contrast pairing that stays readable in low light. For even more contrast, print it white on black.

Where do I change filament to print the Grandma keychain in 2 colours?

Start in teal, then change to white at 3.3 mm above the bed. Those heights are measured in the file, from its lowest point, which is where your slicer puts the bed; add each change in the layer preview where the new colour first shows. With a multi-colour printer, skip all that and open the 3MF.
