◆ Leather
Four leather stamps, basket weave, a rope border, a seeder and a pear shader, with one screw-on handle. Pressed into cased leather with a clamp.
Four tooling stamps on one screw-on handle: a 30 mm basket weave block, a 60 mm rope twist border, a 20 mm seeder that leaves a cluster of dots, and a pear shader, a teardrop with a fine crosshatch. They are pressed, not struck, into cased vegetable-tanned leather. Decorate keychains, patches, coasters, bookmarks and small wallets, practise a pattern before you buy steel tools, or stamp a short run of matching pieces.
Made with our free stamp maker, not modelled by hand: we drew each pattern in code, uploaded the picture and set the plate's own shape and size, basket weave (30 by 30 mm), a rope twist border (60 by 20 mm), a seeder (20 mm round), a pear shader (20 by 30 mm), with the relief at 1.5 mm. The page traced the pattern into a raised face and mirrored it, so it presses into the leather the right way round.
The tool makes every plate with the same screw thread ("one handle takes any number of screw-on faces"), so this zip holds four plates, one STL per pattern, and a single handle that fits them all. The plates and the handle are the tool's own download for each pattern, split into one file per part; nothing else was changed. The pictures are in the zip too, to make a plate of your own.
Shown as a 3D render of the printed plates, the handle and the basket weave pressed into a round leather coaster blank, not a photo.

Print the handle once, standing on its foot, and the plates face down on the bed, all as exported, no supports.
Screw a plate onto the handle until it is snug.
Case the leather: dampen it with a sponge and wait until it just starts to go back to its natural colour.
Set the stamp square on the leather and press it in with a vise or a clamp, holding the pressure for a few seconds.
Lift straight up, move along by one plate and press again; the border and basket weave plates line up end to end.

No. A printed stamp cracks under a mallet blow. Case the leather first, then press each stamp in slowly with a bench vise or a clamp, holding the pressure for a few seconds. Steady pressure gives a clean, even impression.
A printed stamp leaves a softer, shallower impression than steel and wears faster, so it suits small runs, keychains, patches and practice rather than daily production. Print in PETG at fine layers for the crispest edges.
About 25 minutes a plate and about 25 minutes for the handle at 0.2 mm layers and MK3-class speeds, the basis of every stamp in the catalog; all four plates and the handle come to about 1 h 40 min. A current printer is faster. The times are estimated from the parts' volume, not sliced.
