"Best / Friends" in a casual hand-lettered script over two lines, cut out around the words, white letters raised on a pink outline. The handwriting keeps it personal, the outline joins both lines into one sturdy piece, and the two colours make it look bought rather than printed. Made with our free keychain generator, not modelled by hand: we typed "Best" and "Friends" on two lines, chose the Letter outline shape and the Casual Script font, set the text size to 12 mm and the border to 4.5 mm, and picked the two colours. The zip holds exactly what the tool downloads: a 3MF with the tag and the raised letters as two coloured parts, and a one-piece STL. It comes out 52 by 35 mm and 4 mm thick, and prints flat with no supports.

Print one for each friend in the group in their own colour: same words, a different outline colour each. Printed in one colour it still reads, because the letters stand proud of the tag; for pink and white, a single-nozzle printer needs one filament change, and the print sheet in the zip says where.

  • A split ring or keyring, about 25 mm across

How to make it

  1. Print it flat as exported: no supports, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers.

  2. Multi-colour printer: open the 3MF, each part already carries its colour. Single nozzle: add a filament change in the slicer's layer preview for white at 3.3 mm above the bed.

  3. Let the bed cool before you lift the tag off, so the thin edges stay flat.

  4. Open the split ring with a thumbnail or a small screwdriver and wind it through the hole.

Can I print the Best friends keychain in different colours for each friend?

Yes, that is the idea. The words are raised above the pink outline, so you can swap filament at that height for a two-colour tag, or print the whole tag in one colour per friend and paint the letters. The keychain tool also lets you pick any two colours for its 3MF.

Can I add names to the Best friends keychain?

Yes. Open the free keychain tool, type "Best Friends" on the first two lines and a name on a third, and it lays the text out and grows the tag to fit. With Letter outline, raise Border if the tool says the lines no longer join up, and keep names short so the tag stays pocket-sized.
