A printed tray for a ceiling rose 180 mm across and 22 mm deep: a domed centre with a 14 mm cable hole, a collar round it, a ring of sixteen pointed leaves with midribs, a beaded ring and a stepped outer rim. The back is flat, to glue to the ceiling round a pendant light.
Made with our tray mold generator in its rigid tray mode: print the tray, wipe in release, and pour casting plaster straight in. The leaves and beads are cut with sloped sides and the cable hole forms round a tapered post, so the rose lifts out of the rigid tray in one piece.
A rose this size suits a small room, a hallway or a lamp over a table, or a wall medallion behind a mirror. The zip carries the tray exactly as the tool exported it, the rose on its own as an STL, the master uploaded to the tool, and a print and pour sheet with the volume of the cavity.

Print the tray as exported, cavities up, no supports. PLA is fine: plaster only gets warm as it sets.
Wipe a thin film of mold release, petroleum jelly or cooking spray into every cavity, including the fine detail.
Mix casting plaster to a pouring cream (add pigment now if you want colour), fill each cavity and tap the tray on the table for a minute to lift the bubbles.
Leave it for an hour until the plaster is warm and hard, then flex the tray corners and tip the pieces out. Let them dry for a day before you add oils or paint.

Switch the power off at the breaker, take the canopy down, and thread the cable through the 14 mm centre hole. Glue the rose to the ceiling with plaster adhesive, prop it for an hour, then refit the light. The canopy covers the hole.
About 350 g in casting plaster. That is well within what ceiling adhesive holds on a clean, painted ceiling. For extra security, drill two small holes through the rim and add screws, then fill the heads with plaster.
Brush a thin coat of plaster over the leaves in the tray before you fill it, tap the tray for a full minute, and pour a little wetter than usual. Let it set a full hour before you flex the tray, or the leaf tips can snap.
