◆ Ice
Six big brilliant-cut ice cubes, the kind that makes a drink look expensive.
A tray of six large ice cubes, 45 mm across and 26 mm deep, each cut like a brilliant: a flat six-sided table on top, twelve crown facets around it and straight sides below. One cube fits a whisky tumbler.
Made with our tray mold generator in its flexible silicone tray mode, which is what the tool was first built for: print the caster, pour a food-safe platinum silicone into it and peel out a flexible six-cube tray. Ice pops out of silicone with a twist; it would crack out of a rigid printed tray.
The zip carries the printed caster exactly as the tool exported it, one cube on its own as an STL, the master uploaded to the tool, and a print and pour sheet with the silicone figure the tool measured.
Shown as a 3D render of the printed caster with three ice cubes in front, not a photo.

Print the caster as exported, open side up. It is one part, so there are no seams to seal. No supports.
Set it on a level surface. Mix 347 ml of silicone in one batch and pour it into one corner in a thin stream, letting it flow round the raised shapes until it is level with the rim.
Tap the caster on the table for a minute to bring the bubbles up, then let the silicone cure for as long as its datasheet says.
Peel the cured silicone out of the caster. That silicone is your tray, and the caster is ready for another one.
Fill each cavity, let it set, then flex the tray and peel it back to pop the pieces out.

Boil the water twice and let it cool, which drives out most of the air, then fill the tray and set it in an insulated box in the freezer so it freezes slowly from the top down. Cloudiness is air and impurities pushed to the last part that freezes.
Yes, with a silicone suitable for resin. The facets come out glossy, and at about 31 ml per gem a deep-pour epoxy is the right choice, because a thin coating resin overheats in a piece this thick.
Plastic is rigid, and ice expands as it freezes, so a printed tray grips the cubes and they crack coming out. Printed plastic is also porous and not food safe. A silicone tray flexes, releases the cube whole and goes in the dishwasher.
