Merry Christmas, Ho Ho Ho and Let it snow: three round cookie stamps, each with its round cutter.

3D render of three 3D-printed round cookie cutters with their word stamps and a golden stamped cookie in front of each: Merry Christmas, Ho Ho Ho and Let it snow
Cookie dough ~60 g Pro early access

Three round Christmas cookie stamps in one download: Merry Christmas and Ho Ho Ho in a bold script and Let it snow in a round, playful one. Each comes with the round cutter it was made with, and every stamp drops inside its cutter and presses the words into the cut cookie the right way round. Good for Christmas cookie boxes, gifts for teachers and neighbours, Christmas markets and cookies for Santa.

All three were made with our free cookie cutter generator, not modelled by hand: its Text mode, the words, a font and a round frame (the settings for each are in the zip's print sheet). The zip holds exactly what the tool gives you, one STL per design with the round cutter (a 0.8 mm blade, 14 mm tall, with a 4 mm rim) and its stamp side by side. They are the same files as the Merry Christmas, Ho Ho Ho and Let it snow designs on their own.

You do not need all three cutters: the Merry Christmas one is the widest, and all three stamps fit inside it. Print that cutter once and the three stamps, and swap stamps as you go down the tray.

Shown as a 3D render of the three printed cutters, their stamps and a stamped cookie from each, not a photo.

What you need

4
  • Rolled cookie dough that holds its shape: sugar cookie, shortbread or gingerbread, with little or no baking powder
  • A rolling pin, and two 5 to 6 mm guides for an even thickness
  • Flour or cornflour for dusting the cutters and the stamps, and baking paper
  • About 60 g of PLA or PETG for the whole set, ideally a food-contact filament

How to use it

7
  1. Print each file as exported: the cutter rim flat on the bed with the blade pointing up, and its stamp beside it, no supports.

  2. Wash every part in warm soapy water before the first use.

  3. Roll the chilled dough 5 to 6 mm thick between two sheets of baking paper.

  4. Dip a cutter's blade in flour, press straight down with your palm on the rim, and lift.

  5. Dust its stamp, press it into each cookie that cutter cut, about 2 mm deep, and lift it straight up.

  6. Chill the stamped cookies for ten minutes, then bake.

  7. Wash the parts by hand straight after use and let them dry. PLA softens in a dishwasher.

Questions about this design

Do all three stamps in the Christmas cookie stamp set fit one cutter?

Yes, in the widest one, the Merry Christmas cutter: its opening is about a millimetre wider than the largest stamp. The other two cutters are a touch smaller, so each takes its own stamp and the smaller ones.

Can I use the Christmas cookie stamp set on fondant toppers?

Yes. Roll fondant 3 to 4 mm thick, dust each stamp with cornflour, press and lift straight up, then cut round it with the cutter. The stamped discs sit on cupcakes, a Christmas cake or a hot chocolate bomb.

How do I colour the words from the Christmas cookie stamp set?

Paint the baked cookie with thinned food colouring or edible paint and wipe the surface with a damp paper towel: the colour stays in the pressed letters. Or dust the cookies with icing sugar and blow off the excess, which leaves the words white.
