◆ Concrete
A pair of chunky concrete Christmas star tealight holders, 95 mm across, cast straight in one printed tray.
A printed tray for two concrete Christmas star tealight holders, each a chunky five-point star 95 mm across the points and 30 mm tall, its top faceted down from the candle to the points like a cut star, every point rounded so it does not chip. In the middle of each is a recess 41 mm across and 18 mm deep for a standard tealight in its cup. The pair takes 208 ml, about 458 g in concrete.
Made with our tray mold generator in its rigid tray mode: print the tray, wipe in release and pour, no silicone. The stars are cast upside down, so the faceted top and the tealight recess come off the smooth tray floor, and the flat base is the side you strike. The tray is 206 x 100 mm, a quick print for a Christmas market batch.
Leave them raw grey with a white tealight, dust the facets with gold or copper, or cast them in white Jesmonite for a winter table. The zip carries the tray exactly as the tool exported it, the two stars on their own as an STL, the master uploaded to the tool, and a print and pour sheet.
Shown as a 3D render of the printed tray with the concrete stars in front, not a photo.

Print the tray as exported, cavities up, no supports. PLA is fine.
Wipe a thin film of mold release or cooking oil into every cavity, including the grooves.
Mix a fine concrete or Jesmonite to a thick pour, fill each cavity, and vibrate it out: tap the tray on the table or hold a sander against the side for a minute until no more bubbles rise.
Cover the tray and let it cure for 24 hours, then flex the tray and tip the pieces out. Sand the back flat, and seal them once they have dried for a few days.
Let the stars cure for a few days, sand the bases flat, stick on felt pads, gild the facets if you like and seal them before the first tealight.

Standard tealights in their cups, 38 to 39 mm across, and battery tealights of the same size. The recess is 41 mm across at the mouth and 18 mm deep, so the cup sits just below the rim of the star. Always burn a tealight in its cup.
Once they have cured and dried, rub a gilding wax over the facets with a fingertip so only the ridges catch it, or brush metallic acrylic on the points. Seal afterwards with a matte clear sealer so the gold does not rub off on the table.
Two per pour. With a rapid-set craft cement you can demold after about an hour and pour again, so one tray makes a dozen stars in an afternoon. With ordinary concrete, leave each pour a day. Print a second tray to double it.
