3D render of a green 3D printed Christmas tree ornament with red trim, red dots and four family names in bold white letters, lying flat
Print only ~11 g

A Christmas tree with the family written down it: four names stacked from the top to the trunk in bold white letters, on a green tree with a raised red trim and red dots like baubles, and a loop at the top for a ribbon. The file says Mom, Dad, Emma and Leo; open it in the free tool and type your own family, up to six names.

Made with our free Christmas ornament generator, not modelled by hand: we picked the tree shape, four names (Mom, Dad, Emma and Leo) on four lines in the Fun & Bold font, the green, white and red colour set, the Snow dots pattern and a height of 100 mm. Everything else is the tool's default. The zip holds exactly what the tool exports: a 3MF with every part in its own colour, and the same print as one STL. Like every free download from the tool, it carries a small MESHCAST mark where it does not show.

Print it flat, face up, with no supports, thread a ribbon through the loop and it is on the tree the same evening. Print one for everyone at the table, or open the tool and change the words first.

Shown as a 3D render of the printed ornament, lying flat as it comes off the bed, not a photo.

Questions about this design

How many names fit on the Family names Christmas tree ornament?

Up to six lines in the free Christmas ornament generator. The tool sizes every line to fit the tree, widest at the bottom, so four short names in a bold font read well at 100 mm; for a bigger family, make the ornament taller still with the size slider.

How long does the Family names Christmas tree ornament take to print?

About 30 min and 11 g of PLA at 0.2 mm layers, estimated from the files rather than sliced, so a current printer is often faster. It prints flat in one piece with no supports, so it suits a first print on any printer.

How big is the Family names Christmas tree ornament, and can I make it bigger?

It is 70 by 108 mm and 3.4 mm thick. To change that, open the free Christmas ornament generator from this page and move the size slider; the rest of the design follows, and you download the new file in a minute.
