◆ Cookie dough
A gingerbread house front with an overhanging roof and a chimney. The whole Christmas village, one cookie at a time.
The front of a little gingerbread house: square walls, a pitched roof that overhangs them on both sides, and a chimney on the right slope. It is a flat cookie, not a kit to glue together, with big plain areas for piping windows, a door, roof tiles and snow. Good for Christmas cookie trays, advent calendars, holiday baking with kids and gingerbread decorating parties. The cookie comes out about 90 by 86 mm.
Made with our free cookie cutter generator, not modelled by hand: we drew the silhouette, uploaded it to the tool and set the cutter size to 90 mm. The STL in the zip is exactly what the tool gives you: a 0.8 mm blade, 14 mm tall, with a 4 mm rim to press on, exported rim down so it prints without supports. The silhouette is in the zip too, as an SVG, so you can make it bigger, smaller or add a matching stamp.
Pipe the roof first: a thick line of white royal icing along both roof edges, pulled down in little drips over the eaves, reads instantly as snow. Then add the door and windows, and a few sprinkles or candy pieces pressed into the wet icing.
Shown as a 3D render of the printed cutter and two cookies in its shape, not a photo.

Print the cutter as exported: rim flat on the bed, blade pointing up, no supports.
Wash it in warm soapy water before the first use.
Roll the chilled dough 5 to 6 mm thick between two sheets of baking paper.
Dip the blade in flour, press straight down with your palm on the rim, and lift.
Chill the cut cookies for ten minutes, then bake.
Wash the cutter by hand straight after use and let it dry. PLA softens in a dishwasher.

Food contact: the cutter only touches dough briefly, but layer lines hold residue. Print it in a food-contact filament, wash it by hand in warm water, and keep it away from the dishwasher. Food-safe guide.

Not on its own: it cuts the front of a house as one flat cookie, the way you would decorate it on a tray. For a standing house, cut two fronts for the front and back, and cut the side walls and roof panels from the same dough with a knife.
Let a white or pale base coat set, then pipe a door in the middle of the wall and two square windows either side with a small round tip. Fill the windows with yellow icing and they look lit from inside. The roof takes rows of little scallops for tiles.
Not at this size. The chimney is a solid block over a centimetre wide that grows out of the roof, not a thin post. Roll the dough 5 to 6 mm, bake until the edges colour, and let the houses cool on the tray before moving them.
Yes. Upload gingerbread-house.svg from the zip to the free cookie cutter generator and move the Cutter size slider (this one is 90 mm). You can also switch on a matching stamp there, or change the blade height and rim.
