Let it snow on two lines in a round, playful script, pressed into a round cookie. The cutter cuts the circle and the stamp drops inside it and presses the words in, ready for a snowy white glaze. Good for winter birthdays, snow days, ski trips, Christmas cookie boxes and hot chocolate parties. The cookie comes out about 80 mm across.

Made with our free cookie cutter generator, not modelled by hand: we picked its Text mode, typed Let it snow on 2 lines in the Playful Script font, and set a round frame with 7 mm of padding round the words. The STL in the zip is exactly what the tool gives you: the round cutter (a 0.8 mm blade, 14 mm tall, with a 4 mm rim to press on) and, next to it, the stamp that fits inside it, with the letters raised and mirrored so they press into the cookie the right way round. Both print flat, with no supports.

Brush the baked cookies with a thin pale blue glaze and sprinkle white sanding sugar over it while it is wet. The words stay readable in the grooves and the rest sparkles like fresh snow.

What you need

  • Rolled cookie dough that holds its shape: sugar cookie, shortbread or gingerbread, with little or no baking powder
  • A rolling pin, and two 5 to 6 mm guides for an even thickness
  • Flour or cornflour for dusting the cutter and the stamp, and baking paper
  • About 20 g of PLA or PETG, ideally a food-contact filament

How to use it

  1. Print the file as exported: the cutter rim flat on the bed with the blade pointing up, and the stamp beside it, no supports.

  2. Wash both parts in warm soapy water before the first use.

  3. Roll the chilled dough 5 to 6 mm thick between two sheets of baking paper.

  4. Dip the blade in flour, press straight down with your palm on the rim, and lift.

  5. Dust the stamp, press it letters down into each cut cookie about 2 mm deep, and lift it straight up.

  6. Chill the stamped cookies for ten minutes, then bake.

  7. Wash both parts by hand straight after use and let them dry. PLA softens in a dishwasher.

Questions about this design

How deep should I press the Let it snow cookie stamp?

About 2 mm into a 6 mm cookie. Press it straight down with the flat of your hand, hold for a second and lift it straight up. Much deeper and the thin parts of the script can crack as the cookie bakes.

Can I use the Let it snow cookie stamp on shortbread?

Yes, shortbread is ideal: it barely rises, so the lettering stays crisp. Dust the stamp with flour or cornflour before every press so the buttery dough does not stick in the letters.
