New Year's Eve cookie cutter set with stamps

Six New Year's Eve cookie cutters with stamps: champagne bottle, glass, clock at midnight, firework, top hat and party popper.

3D render of six 3D-printed New Year's Eve cookie cutters with their stamps and a golden stamped cookie in front of each: champagne bottle, champagne glass, clock at midnight, firework, top hat and party popper
Cookie dough ~123 g

Six shapes for the countdown: a champagne bottle with a starred label, a coupe glass with bubbles, an alarm clock with both hands on twelve, an eight-point firework burst, a top hat with its band and a party popper throwing streamers and a star. Every cutter has a stamp that presses the label, the bubbles, the clock face or the burst lines into the cut cookie. Good for New Year's Eve parties, countdown dessert tables, office parties, Hogmanay and party favour bags.

All six were made with our free cookie cutter generator, not modelled by hand: we drew each shape with its stamp's lines inside it and uploaded it with Generate stamp switched on. The zip holds exactly what the tool gives you, one STL per shape with the cutter (a 0.8 mm blade, 14 mm tall, with a 4 mm rim to press on) and its stamp side by side, plus each drawing as an SVG. The cookies come out 43 x 95 mm (champagne bottle), 90 x 84 mm (champagne glass), 75 x 85 mm (clock at midnight), 90 x 90 mm (firework), 90 x 80 mm (top hat) and 84 x 90 mm (party popper).

Flood the cookies in black, navy or white and let them set, then fill the pressed lines with gold or silver: lustre dust mixed with a few drops of clear alcohol, painted on with a fine brush. The clock, the firework and the bottle label look like foil printing.

The cutters and stamps print flat with no supports, in PLA or PETG. A cutter touches dough for a minute, but a 3D print has fine layer grooves where crumbs can sit: pick a food-contact filament if you can, wash each part by hand in warm soapy water before and after use, never in a dishwasher, and flour the blade and stamp before every press.

Shown as a 3D render of the six printed cutters, their stamps and a stamped cookie from each, not a photo.

New Year's Eve cookie cutter set with stamps at a glance: every printed part with its size, print time, filament, print settings and the three steps to use it

What you need

4
  • Rolled cookie dough that holds its shape: sugar cookie, shortbread or gingerbread, with little or no baking powder
  • A rolling pin, and two 5 to 6 mm guides for an even thickness
  • Flour or cornflour for dusting the cutters and the stamps, and baking paper
  • About 123 g of PLA or PETG for the whole set, ideally a food-contact filament

How to use it

7
  1. Print each file as exported: the cutter rim flat on the bed with the blade pointing up, and its stamp beside it, no supports.

  2. Wash every part in warm soapy water before the first use.

  3. Roll the chilled dough 5 to 6 mm thick between two sheets of baking paper.

  4. Dip a cutter's blade in flour, press straight down with your palm on the rim, and lift.

  5. Dust its stamp, press it into each cookie that cutter cut, about 2 mm deep, and lift it straight up.

  6. Chill the stamped cookies for ten minutes, then bake.

  7. Wash the parts by hand straight after use and let them dry. PLA softens in a dishwasher.

Food contact: the cutter only touches dough briefly, but layer lines hold residue. Print it in a food-contact filament, wash it by hand in warm water, and keep it away from the dishwasher. Food-safe guide.

Questions about this design

Which shapes are in the New Year's Eve cookie cutter set?

Six, each with its own stamp: a champagne bottle, a champagne coupe, an alarm clock at midnight, a firework burst, a top hat and a party popper. The stamps press in the label and star, the bubbles, the clock face and hands, the burst lines, the hat band and the popper stripes.

Can I write the new year on the New Year's Eve cookie cutter set cookies?

Yes. The bottle label and the top hat band leave a flat field for it: pipe the year in royal icing once the base has crusted, or press number stamps from the free stamp maker into the dough before baking. The cutters themselves carry no year, so they work every December.

How far ahead can I bake the New Year's Eve cookies?

Iced cookies keep about a week in an airtight tin, so bake and decorate them a few days before the party. Let the icing dry overnight before you stack them, with a sheet of baking paper between the layers, so the lustre on the clocks and fireworks does not rub off.

Can I make the cutters in the New Year's Eve cookie cutter set bigger or smaller?

Yes. Every drawing is in the zip as an SVG: upload one to the free cookie cutter generator, switch on Generate stamp and move the Cutter size slider (these are 85 to 95 mm). The stamp scales with its cutter, so its lines still fit the cookie.
