A printed tray for four snowflake soaps, each 66 mm across and 16 mm thick: six arms with two pairs of side branches, a ridge running down the middle of every arm and branch, and a raised hexagon at the centre.
Made with our tray mold generator in its rigid tray mode: print the tray and pour melt-and-pour soap straight in, no silicone at all. Every wall is drafted and every ridge has sloped sides, so the soap lifts out of the print cleanly.
A winter guest soap for a Christmas market, an advent calendar or a stocking. Pour it in white, icy blue or clear with a little shimmer. The zip carries the tray exactly as the tool exported it, one snowflake on its own as an STL, the master uploaded to the tool, and a print and pour sheet with the volume of each cavity.

Print the tray as exported, cavities up, no supports. PETG is best: melt-and-pour soap goes in at about 60 C, which is where PLA starts to soften.
Melt the soap base, stir in colour and fragrance, and pour each cavity to the brim. Spray the surface with rubbing alcohol to pop the bubbles.
Let the soap harden for an hour or two, then give the tray 15 minutes in the freezer so the bars shrink away from the walls.
Turn the tray over and press on the back of each cavity to pop the soaps out. Wrap them once they are at room temperature, or they sweat.

Because a snowflake has no undercuts: its arms are a flat outline with sloped sides and the ridges are shallow. A rigid PETG tray lets go of it after a few minutes in the freezer, and you skip the silicone entirely.
Stir a pinch of white or silver shimmer mica into a clear melt-and-pour base, or dust the ridges with it once the soaps are out. A white base with a drop of blue colour gives an icy look that shows the ridges well.
Not at this size: each arm is about 7 mm wide at the tip and 16 mm thick. Let the soap harden fully before you freeze and release it, and press out from the back of the cavity rather than pulling on an arm.
