◆ Candle wax
An 87 mm acorn candle with a textured cup and a little stem on top. A rigid two-part print for autumn.
An acorn candle 87 mm tall and 62 mm across: a smooth, plump nut that stands on a small flat at its tip, and a cup covered in a lattice of little scales with a short stem on top, where the wick comes out.
The mold is exactly what our two-part candle mold generator builds for it: two rigid halves with rubber-band grooves, pry pockets and a pour funnel on top. The acorn is round, so a seam through its middle releases it cleanly, and the scales on the cup are shallow enough to pull straight out of each half. The tool's own seam check finds nothing stuck, and you need no silicone.
An autumn candle for a harvest table or a Thanksgiving place setting. Pour the nut in caramel or cream and brush a little bronze mica over the cup. The zip carries both halves, the acorn master as its own STL, the tool's own print-settings sheet and a recipe file for the generator.
Shown as a 3D render of the printed mold halves pulled apart around the candle they cast, not a photo.

Print both halves as exported. Clamp-strength settings: 4 walls, 40% gyroid infill, no supports.
Drop a tabbed wick into one half so the tab sits on the cavity floor, close the halves and band them along the whole seam.
Clip the wick centred across the pour funnel and pour at 65 to 75 C.
Once the first pour is firm but still warm, top up the funnel. Wax shrinks, and the second pour fills the dip.
Cool fully, open the halves at the pry pockets and trim the wick. Dry-brush bronze or gold mica over the cup.

Pour the whole acorn in one colour, then dry-brush the cup with a darker mica or candle paint once it is out. The scales catch the powder on their high points and leave the grooves lighter, which makes the texture stand out.
Up the middle and out through the stem, where the pour funnel sits. Drop a tabbed wick in before you close the halves, and clip it centred across the funnel. The stem burns away first, then the cup and the nut.
Yes, and it suits the autumn look. Print the halves in PETG, since beeswax goes in at 70 to 75 C, and expect to top up the funnel twice: beeswax shrinks more than paraffin as it sets.
