◆ Candle wax
A gingerbread man candle, 92 mm tall: a rounded cookie with raised icing eyes, smile, buttons and zigzag cuffs. A rigid two-part print.
A gingerbread man candle 92 mm tall, 91 mm wide and 24 mm thick: the classic cookie shape with rounded edges, and raised icing on the front, two eyes, a smile, three buttons and zigzag cuffs on his wrists and ankles. He stands on his own two legs.
The mold is exactly what our two-part candle mold generator builds for it: two rigid halves with rubber-band grooves, pry pockets and a pour funnel on top. The seam runs round his outline, so the iced front is one half and the plain back the other, and the tool's own seam check finds nothing stuck. No silicone needed.
One of the best-selling Christmas candle shapes, and a natural match for gingerbread, cinnamon or brown sugar fragrance. Pour it in a warm brown and pipe the icing white, or pour it cream. The zip carries both halves, the gingerbread master as its own STL, the tool's own print-settings sheet and a recipe file for the generator.
Shown as a 3D render of the printed mold halves pulled apart around the candle they cast, not a photo.

Print both halves as exported. Clamp-strength settings: 4 walls, 40% gyroid infill, no supports.
Drop a tabbed wick into one half so the tab sits on the cavity floor, close the halves and band them along the whole seam.
Clip the wick centred across the pour funnel and pour at 65 to 75 C.
Once the first pour is firm but still warm, top up the funnel. Wax shrinks, and the second pour fills the dip.
Cool fully, open the halves at the pry pockets and trim the wick on top of his head. Paint the icing white if you like.

Pour him in a warm brown, let him cool completely, then run a fine brush of white candle paint over the raised icing. The icing stands 1 to 2 mm proud, so the brush finds it easily and stays off the cookie.
Down from the top of his head, where the pour funnel sits, into his body. He is only 24 mm thick, so use a small wick and short burns, or keep him as a decoration and scent piece.
Yes. Gingerbread men are one of the shapes candle brands release as a limited edition every December. Each one takes about 80 ml of wax, so a batch is quick from one mold.
