A lotus candle 82 mm across and 43 mm tall: four rings of thick, cupped, round-tipped petals, each ring turned half a petal against the one inside it and opening wider towards the outside, round a closed bud in the middle where the wick comes out.
Made with the hugging-shell mode of our silicone mold maker. Every petal curls out over the one below it, which no rigid mold could let go of, so print the base with the lotus fused onto it and the two shell halves, pour about 282 ml of silicone, and the flexible mold peels off the petals and closes back round them for every candle. The petals thicken towards their foot, so the silicone between them is strong where it tears most easily.
A calm, beautiful candle for a meditation corner, a yoga studio or a wedding table. Pour it in blush pink, white or pale gold. The zip carries every printed part, the lotus master as its own STL, the tool's own print-settings sheet and a recipe file for the generator.

Print the base, which has the master already fused onto it, and the two shell halves. No supports.
Stand the shell halves on the base around the master and hold the seams shut with steel binder clips. The seats for them are built into the shell.
Tape the outside seams or run a bead of hot glue along them, because silicone finds every gap.
Mix 311 ml of silicone in one batch, pour it into the open top in a thin stream, and fill level with the rim.
Once it has cured, unclip the shell and slide each half off SIDEWAYS, not upward: the master is wider above its foot, so the base rib is left open for that. Then peel the silicone off the master. That silicone is your mold.
Set the silicone back in the shell to keep its shape, and cast into it through the opening the base left.

A soft, tear-resistant tin or platinum silicone around Shore 10A to 20A. The silicone has to fill the narrow gaps between the petals and flex out of them again, and a harder one tears there first. Degas it or pour it in a thin stream from high up.
Let it cool completely, ideally for a few hours, then peel the silicone back from the outer petals first, one ring at a time, rather than pushing on the bud. A little warmth from your hands softens the wax edges just enough.
It burns down through the bud in the middle, and the petals around it glow as the flame sinks. Use a small wick sized for a 30 mm pool and keep burns short, or float it unlit in a bowl of water as a decoration.
