◆ Candle wax
The classic 70 mm sphere candle, from two rigid printed halves. No silicone needed.
A 70 mm sphere candle with a small flat underneath so it stands without rolling. It is the shape most people want first, and one of the easiest to cast well.
Made with our two-part candle mold generator: two rigid halves that close on alignment keys, rubber-band grooves round the outside, pry pockets on the seam and a pour funnel on top. A sphere releases cleanly from a split through its middle, so the site's own mold advisor rates a rigid mold a good fit and no silicone is needed.
The zip carries both halves, the sphere master as its own STL, the tool's own print-settings sheet and a recipe file that puts every setting back on the generator, if you want a different size.
Shown as a 3D render of the printed mold halves and the candle they cast, not a photo.

A thin line runs round the sphere where the halves meet. Clamping evenly along the whole seam keeps it fine, and it buffs out with a soft cloth or a few seconds of warm air once the candle is cool.
Down through the pour funnel, which is the top of the candle. Use a wick with a metal tab so it stands on the flat at the bottom of the cavity, and clip it centred across the funnel while you pour.
Yes. The tool's print-settings sheet in the zip lists the amount for wax, resin, plaster, soap and more. Use mold release for resin and plaster.
