Every stencil here is a printed cap that sits over a standard 42.67 mm golf ball. Seat it, draw through the opening with a fine permanent marker, lift it off, and the ball carries the same mark in the same place every time. The skirt reaches just past the middle of the ball so the cap cups it and cannot slide while you draw, and two tabs take a rubber band if you want it held hands free.
The letters A to Z share one font and one letter height, so a bag of balls marked with different initials still matches. The funny ones (I love beer, Sorry, Lost again and friends) make a cheap gift for a golf partner. Each download is a zip with the STL and a print sheet.

A fine or ultra fine permanent marker, the kind sold for marking golf balls or a Sharpie Fine. Dab it through the opening rather than dragging it, so the ink does not bleed under the edge, and let it dry for a minute before you play the ball.
Yes. The Rules of Golf recommend putting an identification mark on your ball, and any mark you draw yourself is allowed. A stencil only makes it neater and the same every time.
It is made for the standard 42.67 mm ball, which covers every regulation ball from every brand. Practice and foam balls of other sizes will not seat properly.
